In the late afternoon of Sunday March 11, 2012, Box 24-43 was dispatched for a reported building fire, Deputy 24 and Chief 41 arrived on scene with heavy smoke from side A of the structure. Tower 24 was instructed to side C with Engine 20, Engine 24 to side A and meet Battalion 20. Crews made an aggressive interior attack and the fire was quickly placed under control. Engine 24 remained on scene to help with the investigation, while the rest of the apparatus was returned in about 1 1/2 hours. Companies on scene were Plumsteadville, Point Pleasant, Ottsville, and Midway was the RIT.
