The officers and members of the Plumsteadville Volunteer Fire Company are sad to announce the passing of Life Member Edwin “Andy” Zeek. Andy has been a member of the fire company for 51 years, but truly for his entire life. Andy’s father was one of the founding members of PVFC with the fire company being born in his bakery. Andy has held many positions within the fire company and the community as part of Scouts BSA throughout Bucks County. Although Andy could not stay as active as he once was, he still found time to help around the firehouse and regaling younger members of times past. His stories will be missed.
Pictured here is Andy with our old Mack tanker truck, which he drove to its first fire call after it was purchased and its last fire call before we sold it.
