This afternoon at 1400 hours Engine 20 and rescue 19 responded to rescue box 20-61 northbound 611 bypass for an overturned tractor trailer. The driver was able to self extricate prior to our arrival. The companies secured hazards and remained on scene for approximately 20 minutes

Tactical box 20-08 was dispatched at 2222 hours last night for a car fire next to a house. Crews were able to extinguish quickly. There was no extension to the house. Thank you to mutual aid in assisting.

This afternoon Engine 20-1 and crew responded to local box 41-07 for a reported truck fire. Our crew arrived on scene shortly after Tanker 41 and helped them with extinguishment and overhaul of the vehicle. We remained on scene for about 30 minutes.

This afternoon Tanker 24 assisted Palisades Regional Fire Rescue on box 94-35 on the 9000 block of Easton road for a dwelling fire. Tanker 24 was a part of a tanker task force that was needed since there were no hydrants in the area. Crews were on scene for about two hours.

Over the past 24 hours, PVFC has had multiple crews helping Midway Volunteer Fire Company with a large brush fire in Solebury Township. Engine 20-1, Tanker 24, and UTV-24 were all on scene assisting for extended periods. With an entire month without rain, these dry conditions can spark a large brush fire in an instant. […]
